Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh orange juice, soy sauce, honey, minced ginger, and orange zest. Mix well and set aside.
Place the thinly sliced beef in a separate bowl.
Pour half of the prepared marinade over the beef and toss to coat.
Allow the beef to marinate for at least 15 minutes. This will infuse the meat with those delightful flavors.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and sliced red onion to the hot skillet.
Sauté for about 2 minutes, or until the onions become translucent and fragrant.
Using tongs or a spatula, carefully add the marinated beef to the skillet.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Transfer the cooked beef to a plate.
In the same skillet, add the sliced red and orange bell peppers.
Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until they start to soften but still maintain a slight crunch.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables.
Pour the remaining marinade over the mixture and stir well.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the ingredients.
Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you desire a bit of heat.
Remove from heat.
Garnish your Orange Ginger Beef Stir Fry with fresh cilantro or green onions.
Serve it hot over cooked rice or noodles. I prefer all my stir fry dishes with rice.
Notes
u003cliu003eTry to cut the beef into tiny slices. Small pieces cook fast and taste yummy.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eWhen you cook, use a big pan. That way, everything fits without spilling.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eTry a tiny bit before serving to make sure it's just right. If it's too strong or too weak, you can change it.u003c/liu003e
