Smoked Chicken Shawarma


2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs 1 cup plain yogurt 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Salt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil

Marinate the Chicken

In a big bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and oil. Now, add the chicken and make sure it's covered in this yummy mix. Put a lid on the bowl and let it stay in the fridge for 2 hours or, even better, all night. This makes the chicken taste extra special!


Heat your smoker to 225°F. Take the chicken out of its marinated bath and let the extra sauce drip off. Put the chicken on the smoker and let it get smoky for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it's 165°F inside.
